    HOW TO CREATE AMAZING CONTENT

    #1: THINK CAREFULLY

Before you put pen to paper, take a moment to think about what you’d like to talk about in your blog post, podcast, or whatever content you’re creating.

This part should be easy if you’ve started writing down your ideas as they appear as I suggested in previous posts.

Then select one idea and start to brainstorm around it.

Remember that this post also needs to answer the questions and solve the problems that your ideal client is facing. (I’ve written a blog post on this topic too – click here to read it).

#2: USE A KEYWORD RESEARCH TOOL

When you have your topic defined, it’s time to research which keywords you’d like to target in your content.

Keyword research is very important because it helps you find out which words your ideal clients are typing into that search bar when they look for answers to their problems – problems that you can help them solve. When you know these keywords you can include them in your content so you can connect with your ideal client. Perfect!

(Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming blog on how to do keyword research and master the art of SEO).

    #3: LET YOUR PERSONALITY SHINE!

Now it’s time to create your content. Start by creating an outline of what you want to share with your audience, and fill in the gaps as you go. Don’t be worried if it’s not all perfect at this stage – you can always go back in to edit when you need to.

It’s also very important to share as much of your personality as you can in the content you create because it’s what will help you stand out from the crowd, attract your ideal client and start taking your business to the next level.

It’s what makes you unique. It’s your USP (unique selling point) and it’s worth its weight in gold.

Your personality is why people will follow you and why people will buy from you. Business success isn’t just about the information and the content you share, it’s your personality too.

There are many people out there who do similar things to me, but no one is doing it the way that I do because no one else has my personality.

#4: ASK YOURSELF, “AM I SOLVING A PROBLEM WITH THIS CONTENT?”

You should always aim to help solve your ideal clients’ problems when you create any piece of content. So next you should check whether your latest achievement meets this goal.

    Are you being of service?

It’s really important that you don’t continuously pitch your products because that will turn people off straight away. Instead, add value to their lives, solve their problems and position yourself as the go-to expert in your niche.

    #5: CREATE A COMPELLING HEADLINE

Your content headline must hook the reader or your listener as soon as they see it and encourage them to click through to read or listen, so make sure you’re creating something awesome.

Make sure this headline contains at least one of the keywords you discovered during the research stage so people can actually find the content you’ve worked so hard to create.

#6: MAKE YOUR CONTENT MORE APPEALING

You want to make it super-easy for your audience to read, listen and digest the useful content that you’re creating for them. In order to do this, you need to make it look and/or sound great.

If you write a blog, you need to cut down your paragraphs to be just a sentence or two long so that it’s easy and relaxing for the eye to read.

Also make sure you edit and proofread your blog post well to give it a polish and to get rid of mistakes. Also add relevant images to break up the test and help illustrate what you’re saying.

If you have a podcast, you should edit the podcast and cut out the places where you say ‘ummm…’ and ‘ahhh…’ so that it makes it easier for your audience to listen.

    #7: OFFER A CONTENT UPGRADE

Offering a content upgrade is an effective and straightforward way you can build your email list, offer extra value to your audience, and start converting them into paying customers.

You don’t have to do this with every piece of content you create, but you should do it once in a while.

For example, this episode that comes with a cheat sheet which contains a summary of what I’ve talked about in this episode. You can print it on one page and then have a quick overview of what you need to think about when you create content. This makes it much easier for you to use the knowledge you’ve gained here.

I’ll also receive your email on my list and then I will be able to let you know when there’s a new podcast episode out, when I launch a product or when I host an event.

#8: MAKE YOUR CONTENT EASILY SHAREABLE

Do you have social sharing buttons on your website? If not, make sure you add them now.

They’ll make it much easier to share your content because if someone reads something they love, they can just click to share it with their friends and others who might find your content useful.

This helps build your visibility, get your name out there and help you get more clients with ease.

When you do this, make sure you have the right preview images upload in the backend of your website so that your audience will see the preview image you want, not one that the internet selects for you.

So if you want your content to shine, to reach your ideal audience and to help you take your business to the next level, be sure to follow the tips I’ve outlined here.

Do your research, organise your thoughts, create an awesome headline, add keywords, grow your email list, make it shareable, and really let your personality shine. That’s how you create awesome content to attract your ideal client, position yourself as an expert in your field and get clients with ease.

Now I also promised you that I’d cover how to create compelling content on a regular basis, so keep reading to find out how.

    HOW TO CREATE CONTENT CONSISTENTLY

It’s very important that you can design a way to create your content with consistency without spending hours doing so, because as you know, it can be quite a drain on your time and leave you with much less time to spend on other core business tasks. Here are my tips:

#1: MAP OUT YOUR CONTENT CREATION PLAN

So, the first step is map out your content creation plan and create your own content creation cheat sheet. When you have this content creation map filled out and you start using it, you’ll notice how it will really speed up the process.

I’ll be sharing my very own content creation process in the next blog post, so don’t miss this episode to find out how I get things done.

    #2: PLAN REGULAR BRAINSTORMING SESSIONS

It’s not always easy to find new ideas. That’s why you should also schedule time to sit down and write down the content topics you’d like to cover. Then you can brainstorm around these topics and then easily create your content around your notes.

Again, make sure you’re using a notebook or an app on your phone such as Evernote to write down all the ideas that pop up throughout your daily life, so you always have a flow of content ideas at your fingertips.

#3: PLAN YOUR CONTENT SEVERAL WEEKS IN ADVANCE

It’s also a good idea to plan your content a couple of weeks or months ahead. I usually do this for the upcoming 12 weeks. That way I know what I’m going to talk about and I also know how much content I’m going to create. This helps me to plan the content creation process itself, so I can schedule everything and stay in control of the content creation at all times.

    #4: BATCH YOUR CONTENT PRODUCTION

I never sit down and only produce one episode for my podcast. I always create at least a couple of them at a time so I don’t put myself under all that stress of having to create content on a regular basis. I’m still fine-tuning this process but I’m still noticing how much easier it makes everything.

    #5: PUBLISH REGULARLY

Your audience wants you to give them useful information that solves their problems on a regular basis so you can continue to help them. Google and other search engines also want you to keep creating content regularly so it can provide maximum value and send your ideal client to your website. So decide on a publishing schedule and then stick to it. Even if you’re just publishing something once per month, it all makes a difference.

#6: CREATE TEMPLATES FOR YOUR VISUALS

Design your templates once and then you can simply adapt these for every piece of content. That way you don’t have to start all over each time you want to create amazing graphics. Canva is my go-to option for this. Look them up.

    #7: OUTSOURCE

No one is good at everything or has time to do everything, so don’t be afraid of outsourcing your processes and other stuff you can’t or don’t want to do. When I create this blog, I first record a podcast episode and then my virtual assistant makes the blog article from it. This works brilliantly because firstly, English is not my mother tongue and secondly, because blogging just takes too much time. I found her on Upwork, she’s amazing and I’m really happy because makes my life so much easier.

    #8: REVIEW YOUR CONTENT

Before you hit that publish button you should check through everything one last time.

You’ve created the content, it’s optimized for the search engines, you have all your visuals and you put it together on your website. Then once it’s done, review it, check it for grammar and spelling, and also check if the links work. Make sure the links are opening in a new tab, it looks nice, and if it’s a pleasure for your audience to listen to or read. Will they like it? Will they get value from it?

If you like it, you’re good to go. If you doubt about something, you should adapt it.

So, there you have it – two incredibly useful blog posts in one! As well as creating the content, make sure you plan in advance, create templates, outsource and get organised so you can save time and keep your audience happy at the same time.
